Dug Confederate Infantry Script "I" Cuff Button.  Very rare 13mm, 2-piece Old English "I" with a rustic-brown dug patina.  This button is very desirable and is rare as hen's teeth!  The only problem I see is some ground action and a small push to the center on the face.  The shank on back is solid and perfect.  Provenance has this little gem dug in Richmond, VA.

Excavated Confederate Infantry Coat Button.  This button is 19mm in size and was imported through the blockade from Ireland.  The P. TAIT LIMERICK b/m is not legible due to moderate ground action.  The so called  "floating style" shank is slightly bent.  Nice brown patina.  No record of where it was found.

23mm.  W.H. SMITH & CO. b/m.  Beautiful button with lots of gilt which highlights Virtus and Tyranny figures extremely well.  Button has a small push which has caused the shank to bend slightly.  Very nice Confederate button with lots of gilt.  Excavated in Northern Virginia but exact location not known.
