CSBK 01 RE
Here is an absolutely beautiful dug Confederate die struck "Breckenridge" pattern large size "C.S." oval waist belt plate. This plate has a nice uncleaned brown-green patina with a "C.S." strike that you can see for miles. All three hooks are intact on the reverse. There are a couple of tiny, tiny freeze cracks around the rim but nothing that detracts from the beauty of the buckle. Die struck Confederate belt plates this nice and complete are just not being recovered anymore. Dug years ago from a hospital site at the Battle of Franklin, TN.

CSBK 04 RE
This is an excavated Confederate "standard" frame buckle. Made of sand cast brass, it has a very pleasing olive green chocolate patina. The cross bar is broken and looks to be a period break. Probably why it was discarded. This buckle does have the slight body curve shape present. Nice inexpensive Confederate buckle. Provenance has this buckle as being recovered in Richmond, VA.
